Young Anchorage Motorcyclist Killed In Crash.

Twenty-seven-year-old Zachary Firlan was pronounced dead after a fatal collision with a van in downtown Anchorage. The accident occurred just around 6:00 p.m. last Tuesday evening during rush hour. The young motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the local hospital.

The deadly accident occurred just after 6:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the intersection of Eighth Avenue and C Street in Anchorage. The downtown area was congested with rush hour traffic when the motorcycle and van collided. Mr. Firlan was transported to the local hospital where he later died from his injuries. The woman driving the van was not seriously injured, but was examined by on-scene medics.

Even two hours after the tragic crash, remnants of the collision were sprawled out on the pavement. In addition to the rear tire of the van, the victim’s backpack and sneaker were left at the scene. Police are still investigating the deadly crash.
