A man died this past weekend after he collided with a deer while riding his motorcycle on a highway in Oregon. The accident occurred on Saturday and the collision threw both the driver of the motorcycle and his passenger off the motorcycle. Both riders were wearing helmets at the time of the motorcycle accident.
Even though both people on the motorcycle survived the collision with the deer, Tony Sumpter, the 62 year-old driver, landed in the road and was hit by another motor vehicle. He was pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident. The passenger, Nichole Tinsley, survived and declined medical treatment.
Officials are still investigating the biker crash.
