Driver Who Showed Signs of Intoxication in Fatal Minnesota Motorcycle Crash Arrested for Vehicular Homicide.

Anoka County, Minnesota Police have taken a 42 year-old woman into custody for criminal vehicular homicide after she apparently caused a crash that killed two motorcyclists.

Investigators say that the woman’s SUV was perpendicular to traffic on the county road when the accident occurred. She was apparently attempting to conduct a U-turn.

The police found significant skid marks from the motorcycles, indicating that they braked heavily before striking the driver’s side door of the SUV.

Anoka County Sheriff James Stuart said that the woman was arrested for “indications of intoxication.” She remains in custody, but has not been charged.

The two motorcyclists, a 48 year-old man from St. Francis, MN, and a 46 year-old woman from Big Lake, MN, died at the scene.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
